In 2018, my mother's stroke thrust me unexpectedly into the role of her caretaker. With two kids at home, I became a card-carrying member of the "sandwich generation," responsible for the care of both my children and an aging parent. The transition wasn't easy, but I discovered that love has an infinite capacity to expand and support us through the most difficult of times.
